evaluation
So the show was last thursday and it actually went alright. Over all i feel that the performance was good and apart from a few mistakes went really well. The day started with us helping out with seating and lighting. This was alright and it helped me visualise the stage so i could get an understanding of how i will be able to move on the stage. However when the whole group got there things started to get bad. First we needed to do lighting and seeing as my scene was first we done my lighting first. My lighting was fairly simple i had a follow spot and one set spotlight. However other people in the group wanted different lights and such so it took a while to have it all set up. When we started to rehearse, we realised we had never scene jakes or jays scene and we never rehearsed the final scene so we decided to storm through the show to get to these points, the first scenes went perfectly during rehearsal and we got the whole thing done however the final scene didn't go very well as when we were able to rehearse it, we didn't have jay and he was a key person in it. We decided to try and rehearse without him but it didn't go very well as i needed him to know when i had to run to the other side. People started to get stressed so we decided to take a 10 minute break to cool down. after the break the scene went fine and we were ready for the show. Now our group was performing last so whilst i sat watching the other groups my nerves started to build up as i realised how big the audience was. When it was our turn to perform we set up the mats and got ready. Now my scene went fine, people laughed at all the right points and i didn't get choked on any words so my scene went as well as it could have. Liam's scene also went fine, nothing went wrong and everything was fine. But then we go to Amandas scene. Liam was in the wrong place for the bed which caused jake to be in the wrong place and he had to do limas part which he didn't know. This was the first of the mistakes. Now we get to Danny's scene. The tech crew got his song wrong which wasn't a mistake as such on our part and it didn't affect our performance as a whole but i feel it was something that went wrong and Danny may have been put of by this so he may not have done his monologue as well as he had hoped. Now Jake, Jays and Connors scenes all went well enough, i feel it was the final scene that had the biggest mistake. When Jay snatched the 'bomb' from Danny ' love is blindness' was support to play but it didn't at first. This was very annoying as we stood there for about 10 seconds waiting for it to play as when it did we threw jay in the air and the scene continued but as it didn't we just stood there looking shocked. Apart from that small error the rest of the scene went really well and seeing as we kept messing up in rehearsal, we did really well. Now the final little mistake as at the final scene when we are all laying down on the floor dead. I had to cough really bad and held it in meaning i was breathing really heavily, i could also hear a who ever was next to me breathing through there nose but i don't know if the audience could also. Over all i feel that the show went really well. i am pleased with the result of our devising and i really did enjoy my monologue. I am a little upset its over but after the last 3 weeks of us all being at each others throats i am glad it is.

4th February
Todays lesson went really well. I do believe we got a lot of work done as we managed to get to Amandas scene, which means today was our first attempt at a proper run through. I am really confident in my monologue now and i am very proud of how it goes and how it went seeing as how it was the first time i done it, in about 2 months. I am really looking forward to perfuming on thursday but i am getting a bit nervous but i feel confident that we will pull it off. after school we rehearsed my scene a little bit more and tried to get the song set due to people no thinking it worked with my character which i was happy about as i felt it didn't either so it worked out for the best. After about 7 re runs of my monologue we finally got set on a song and i am confident it will work for the scene. i am really looking forward to performing in a few days and on thursday we are having a full day run through so we should be ready by the time we perform.
